Pricing
Published starting points, so you can size a project before you talk to anyone. Every figure below is a starting price — what you actually pay depends on scope, and you get that in writing before any work begins.
Start here
Before anyone quotes a project, we need to understand the problem. That starts with a conversation, and it costs you nothing.
Thirty minutes to work out whether we can help and whether it is worth doing.
A proper working session that produces something useful whether or not you hire us.
Credited toward a qualifying project if you decide to go ahead.
Project work
Scoped and quoted as a fixed price wherever it is practical to do so. You know the number before we start.
A first system, a small tool, or a website that has to do more than sit there.
Capable AI running on hardware you own, with your data staying put.
Hardware is quoted separately unless a written proposal says otherwise.
Discuss thisAutomate a real process end to end, with a person kept in the loop where judgement is needed.
A complete application: database, interface, access control, deployment and documentation.
Every custom project is different
These prices establish starting points — not one-size-fits-all quotes. Scope drives cost, and we would rather spend thirty minutes understanding yours than send you a number that turns out to be wrong.
Hourly engineering
For work that does not fit a fixed scope — and we will tell you when that is the case rather than inventing a scope to fit.
Hourly billing puts the risk of an inaccurate estimate on you, and it rewards us for taking longer. Where the work can be scoped, it gets a fixed price — which means the estimating risk sits with the people doing the estimating.
Hourly is the right instrument for open-ended work on a system whose shape we do not yet know. It is not the default.
Ongoing support
Optional. Declining one does not cost you access to anything you already own — you have the source, the documentation and the deployment configuration either way.
Keep a working system working.
For a system the business depends on day to day.
Continuous improvement, not just keeping the lights on.
Included hours do not roll over
Unused support hours do not automatically accumulate unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. If you consistently need more than your plan includes, the honest answer is to move up a plan rather than to bank hours.
What we do not offer
No unlimited work, and no 24/7 emergency response. Neither has been staffed and priced, and selling an availability promise we cannot keep would be worse than not offering it. If you need out-of-hours cover, talk to us and we will price it properly.
The first conversation is thirty minutes, free, and has no pitch in it. We will tell you whether we can help, roughly what it would cost, and if the honest answer is that you do not need us, we will say that too.
